RX Female Award

The RX Female Awards ceremony will take place on November 11 at 3 p.m. on the Gastro Circle stage at "Alles für den Gast".

With extraordinary commitment and competence, women act as role models in numerous industries today. RX Austria & Germany has therefore created the "RX Female Award" to honor these pioneers and outstanding personalities.

Especially in the field of gastronomy and hotel business, numerous women make an extraordinary contribution through their willingness to innovate and their courage. As part of “Alles für den Gast”, we would like to honor these inspiring role models with the RX Female Award powered by Female Future Festival. The award will be presented in the categories "Role Model" and "Youngster", with a top-class jury of respected experts deciding on the winners.

The award not only serves as due recognition but is also an important tool for promoting gender equality and empowering female professionals in our society.

The "Role Model" and "Youngster" categories celebrate women who have become pioneers in their industry through their courage and exceptional contribution.

The "Role Model" stands for experienced women with at least 10 years of professional experience who are successful as founders or leaders. They are role models for others, inspire with their careers and show how to change the industry with passion and foresight.

The "Youngster" category, on the other hand, is aimed at young women who are no more than 30 years old and have already caused a stir with their innovative strength and achievements. They are the up-and-coming talents who will shape the future of hospitality and tourism with their fresh perspective and drive.

Are you a "Role Model" or "Youngster" and would like to apply yourself, or nominate someone in the industry?

*All persons who identify with the female gender (she/her) have the opportunity to be nominated.

Katharina Schneider

Katharina Schneider embodies the type of woman who makes decisions about the future of start-ups on Puls4 within two minutes. She has made it her mission to share her many years of expertise as an entrepreneur, CEO, and investor in the start-up scene.

"I experience it again and again that women muster less courage to put themselves and their projects in the public eye than men. It is close to my heart to give such great women the courage and support they need for themselves, to confidently stand by their person & projects and to show them accordingly!"

Katharina Hauke

For more than six years, Katharina Hauke has actively shaped the direction of the Lieferando brand. Initially, she led the sales department as the Head of Sales. Three years ago, she took on the role of Managing Director for Lieferando in Germany and Austria.

"I am very pleased to be part of the jury for the RX Female Award. The Austrian gastronomy and hotel industry is known far beyond the country's borders for its high quality and excellent standards. Professionals trained in Austria can be found in many parts of the world, especially in the upscale hotel and catering industry. Quite rightly, this award honors outstanding female players in the catering and hotel sector in Austria who enrich the industry with their know-how, commitment and innovative ideas."

Clemens Strobl

Clemens Strobl is a long-time insider in the gastronomy industry as an advertiser and vintner. With his wine manufactory, he successfully focuses on organic wine cultivation.

"Women have often been beaten below their value in the past decades. Any opportunity to give the female gender a stage, I'm happy to support - the RX Female Award is a great opportunity to do so!"

Sandra Baierl

Sandra has been working for the daily newspaper KURIER since 2006 and heads the JOB & BUSINESS, IMMO and MOBILITY departments.

"Women achieve a lot - but are often reticent when it comes to showing their successes. They need to be brought more in front of the curtain, also to be seen as strong role models by the young. That's why awards like the RX Female Award are important."

Teresa Spari

Teresa-Antonia Spari is a business journalist and has enriched the team of the "Krone" for six years, among other things as Chief of Duty.

"I am always surprised at how many admirable women in my environment are not even aware of their strength themselves, or even hide it on purpose. We carry the burden of families, departments and entire companies - without talking about it much. Yet with every woman who uses her strength, her knowledge, her skills with pride and consistency, the wave gets bigger - until it eventually spills over into all parts of society. Until it finally buries the discrimination in wages and career opportunities, the open and hidden misogyny in everyday life. That's why the RX Female Award is so important, that's why I'm proud to be part of the jury."
